If you are into horror games like I am, then you can go ahead and mark your calendars, as developer Supermassive Games and publisher Bandai Namco have revealed The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan release date. Man of Medan is the first in a series of horror games in The Dark Pictures Anthology and it looks incredibly scary. To be honest, I didn’t expect anything less from the developers behind Until Dawn.

The Man of Medan release date is set for 30 August 2019 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. From the release date reveal trailer (view at the bottom of this article), the wait will most definitely be worth it. Man of Medan brings supernatural horror on board a ghost-ship adrift in the South Pacific and from the trailer it looks both intriguing and frightening.
It looks like Supermassive is taking everything that made Until Dawn great and turning the dial up to 11 with Man of Medan and The Dark Pictures Anthology as a whole, as there will be a deep choice/consequence system, branching stories and relationships. Yes, the main character can even die if you are not careful, adding a tonne of replay value to the game. You might not see specific scenes if you make a specific choice, or you might get a devastating ending if you are not careful.
Those who pre-order the game will also get access to the Curator’s Cut version at the end of November 2019, which includes the following:
- A new perspective with alternative characters in previously played scenes
- New decisions and choices within each scene which change the story in different ways
- Includes new scenes and new secrets not featured in the original playthrough
