Elden Ring Board Game

The Elden Ring Board Game is Coming Your Way

One of the greatest games of all time is getting its own board game adaption. Soon players will be able to explore the Lands Between on the top of your table thanks to Steamforged Games. The popular board game maker, who is responsible for the likes of Dark Souls, Horizon Zero Dawn and the Resident Evil board games has announced the Elden Ring board game through Kickstarter.

Little is known about the Elden Ring board game at this time. The game’s official description says it will see one to four players embark on a huge and varied adventure, visiting iconic locations and crossing paths with familiar enemies and characters.

In a vast, sprawling world of decaying grandeur that unfolds through your exploration, you’ll embark on a huge and varied adventure, visiting iconic locations and crossing paths with familiar enemies and characters. Play solo, or with up to three other Tarnished.

The game aims to recreate the video game’s iconic battles with all creatures including the bosses and enemies by using an intelligent dice-free approach. Players are required to strategise and adapt their plans during each encounter whether that be a lowly Godrick Soldier or the Grafted King himself.

Mat Hart, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer at Steamforged Games said:

“ELDEN RING™ is a stunning, genre-defining video game, and we are humbled and privileged to be bringing it to your tabletops. To say our team is passionate about the game would be an understatement.

“Our mission is always to deliver authentic tabletop adaptations that capture the essence of what fans know and love about the IP. Fans should expect a dark, richly-realised tabletop world of mystery and peril, with satisfying combat and rewarding exploration. Prepare to lose hours to this game, and to be glad about it.”

At the moment we don’t have a release date for this Elden Ring board game. The only image we have is one 3D printed Margit, The Fell Omen boss figurine (pictured above). However, by the look of it, this is going to be quite an experience. I personally own the Dark Souls board game and it is one of my favourites to play. I am hoping this Elden Ring one follows in its footsteps.
