The Elder Scrolls 6 Announced Too Early Bethesda Todd Howard

The Elder Scrolls 6 Reportedly Set in Both Hammerfell and High Rock – New Details Leak

A new leak for The Elder Scrolls 6 alleges that the anticipated open-world RPG will take place in both Hammerfell and High Rock. Further details also reveal the possible return of dragons as well as ship building and naval combat being introduced to the franchise for the first time.

The leak comes from known leaker eXtas1s whose source claims that the title of the game will be The Elder Scrolls 6: Hammerfell, though it will apparently take place in both the Hammerfell and High Rock provinces of Tamriel. Other details mentioned in the leak include the return of dragons, one of the highlights of Skyrim, as well as naval battles and ship building. There will also apparently be underwater exploration and islands off the coast for players to explore.

Here’s a full bullet point list of everything mentioned in the recent leak for The Elder Scrolls 6:

  • Game is going to be more immersive, with fast loading times
  • Game takes place in Hammerfell and High Rock
  • Game will have naval battles, ship building (inspired by Starfield) and marine/underwater exploration, explorable islands off coast.
  • Dragons will return
  • Game is set to have 12-13 big cities
  • Progression system is much more flexible, abandoning classes for a natural progression and better combat.
  • Game to have Fortress and Village building alongside settlement building
  • Game could be shown in July 2025

Everything so far seems to be within the realm of possibility except for the last point which claims that the game could be shown as early as July 2025. From what we know, The Elder Scrolls 6 only started full production after Starfield‘s DLC launch back in 2023 and judging by the development cycle of most Bethesda games, it might be a bit too early to show anything concrete since it’s likely still in the middle of development.

Others speculate that fans might be growing frustrated at the long wait for the game, so Bethesda will have a smaller showcase for The Elder Scrolls 6 where it will release a cinematic trailer and go into detail on some of the points mentioned above.

As with all rumours and reports, we recommend taking this with a pinch of salt for now.
