Bethesda has been teasing a new Elder Scrolls Online announcement for over a week now. If anything, it has been pretty drawn out but we finally know what it is all about. Players will be exploring a new land and fighting dragons in The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr on 4 June 2019.

According to the announcement, The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr will be a thirty-hour, “year-long” main story told over four quarterly releases starting in February with the first release called Wrathstone. The story will see players team up with the Khajiit as they defend their homeland from both invading imperials and deadly dragons.
According to Creative Director Rich Lambert, the dragons you will encounter in the upcoming expansion will be harder than the ones we are used to in Skyrim. The expansion will be similar in size and scope to Summerset which launched last year and will release a new 12-player Trial called Sunspire. The expansion will also add entirely new lands to explore, world events, and most exciting of all, a new Necromancer class.
“The Necromancer Class brings a new kind of tactical play to The Elder Scrolls Online, allowing you to summon the undead and make use of corpses in order to overwhelm your enemies and empower your attacks. When playing as a Necromancer, you must carefully position yourself and your Abilities for maximum effect, giving this new Class an especially tactical-but-deadly playstyle.”
The realm of Elsweyr will feature gorgeous grasslands, canyons, warm sands and the capital city of Rimmen. Bethesda also announced that The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr will kick off “the Season of the Dragon” which will see a load of content release within the next few months for the title. You can pre-purchase the expansion now to unlock new in-game content and watch the gorgeous new trailer below for a glimpse of what is to come. The game is set for release on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
