For those of you who have played The Elder Scrolls Online, you would know that it is one massive MMORPG that spans most of Tamriel and beyond. However, much of the game is limited due to the restrictions put in place by the DLC. Dungeons and Zone DLC block off access to the game unless you purchase them individually or subscribe to Bethesda’s pretty-sweet ESO Plus which is a subscription service with benefits. Bethesda announced that they will be giving an ESO Plus trial to everyone for the next week. After a night with the game, I cannot recommend it enough.

Starting from yesterday and going up until 27 April 202o, ESO Plus is free for all Elder Scrolls Online owners. This week-long event will unlock all DLC (besides Elsweyr) for all players. I have stayed away from subscribing to the service as well as spending money on small Zone DLC and Dungeon Packs in the past. However, this trial may persuade me to sign up permanently for the service as the content that comes out of it is quite massive.
Just to have everything in the game accessible at once without worrying about “do I own this” or “is this region locked for me” is a great sigh of relief. With that being said, the ESO Plus also gives you a taste of just how massive The Elder Scrolls Online is outside of the main story. The DLC Dungeons are extremely fun to play through and every one of them gives you skill points and gear.
Not to mention, the awesome bosses and locations you will be able to visit while taking on these challenges. Bethesda clearly put a lot of effort into creating these experiences and the proof is in the pudding here. The ESO Plus trial grants you access to over 20 DLC Dungeons that are all tied into gorgeous locations throughout Tamriel. Another plus of this current trial is access to The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset expansion pack which is, in my opinion, the best expansion the game has received to date. It takes you to the beautiful island of Summerset and includes new public events (different from the anchor ones), as well as the 12-player Cloudrest trial. Not to mention the fantastic story you can play through from start to finish before the ESO Plus trial ends.
The current ESO Plus free trial also grants you access to the latest DLC “Harrowind” which acts as a prequel to the game’s upcoming expansion The Elder Scrolls Online Greymoor. This means you can play the DLC for free as you prepare for The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor launch in June.
While the ESO Plus trial only lasts for a week, it is a great time to experience The Elder Scrolls Online in its fullest. Even if you don’t end up subscribing to the service when the trial is over, the experiences you have will go towards your account, XP and achievements. You can easily knock out every DLC Dungeon before the trial ends so you never have to play them again.
