The Flash New Trailer Batman Michael Keaton Supergirl

The Flash Gets Exciting New Trailer With Batman and Supergirl

The Flash, the upcoming DC movie directed by Andy Muschietti, has received an exciting new trailer featuring plenty of universe-bending antics. We also finally get a glimpse of Michael Keaton in action as Batman again as well as Supergirl taking on General Zod and more. There’s a lot to unpack in the trailer which promises a pretty awesome time, though it’s unclear how this will impact the revamped DC universe going forward.

Marvel Studios pushed into the multiverse during Phase 4 of the MCU and it looks like DC is about to crack open its own multiverse as well through The Flash. Ezra Miller will reprise their role as Barry Allen but they’re also joined by some familiar faces including Ben Affleck as Batman and Michael Shannon as General Zod.

The trailer for The Flash largely focuses on Barry Allen losing his parents and travelling back in time to bring them back. However, this comes with pretty dire consequences as it somehow changes the fabric of reality and in the process, we have Supergirl instead of Superman and Michael Keaton’s Batman seemingly joining in from another alternate universe to stop a returned General Zod.

The official description for The Flash provided by Warner Bros reads:

“Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?”

The Flash arrives in cinemas on 16 June 2023. Check out the new trailer below:
