Helldivers 2 is just a few weeks away and Arrowhead has just dropped the launch trailer for the game. If you don’t know, Helldivers 2 is an upcoming PS5 and PC shooter where players explore a war-torn planet with their friends while blowing up alien scum and maybe killing some friendlies along the way.
The game is the direct sequel to the original Helldivers and a lot has changed. For starters, Helldivers 2 is now a third-person shooter which drastically changes the way you experience the action. Of course, you can still accidentally squash your friends with a drop pod.

The launch trailer gives us a closer look at some of the action we’ll see in Helldivers 2. The trailer plays out like a futuristic recruitment campaign as it tries to get players enlisted in the army to “take back freedom”.
The job doesn’t seem all that safe, to be honest. Most of the gameplay showcases a rather dangerous working environment as players are thrown around by aliens and explosions. There’s a lot of ragdoll physics at play when a bomb drops next to you and your fighter is sent to the next galaxy.
The launch trailer for Helldivers 2 definitely delivers on the action and explosions. It also reveals some new enemies including bots, tanks and large alien creatures.
