The International 2019 Battle Pass is, of course, for The International 2019 that takes place in Shanghai, China, from 16 to 25 August 2019. Each year, purchases of the Battle Pass helped boost the prize pool breaking the world record for the biggest esports tournament.
Why do people purchase the Battle Pass and related items so much that the prize pool of The International 2018 reached $25,532,177, while crowd contributions amounted to nearly $24 million? Well, it is pretty simple, those shiny cosmetic items from Immortal Treasures as well as some in-game event.
Last year, we had Underhollow and in 2017, we had Siltbreaker. Sure, both these events had their issues but hopefully, Valve has learned from their mistakes. At the time of writing, we have no clue what will be part of The International 2019 Battle Pass. However, expect a tonne of cosmetic items, a tournament structure announcement and features of the Battle Pass to be announced with the initial release.

There is no indication exactly at what time The International 2019 Battle Pass will be released today (7 May 2019) but it should be after the MDL Disneyland Paris Major matches finishes up. With the final best-of-one match scheduled to start at 18:30 South African time, you can expect the Battle Pass to get unleashed soon after the match finishes up. That means Valve will likely release the Battle Pass at roughly 20:00 or a bit later tonight.
