The International 2019 Day 4 of the Main Event kicked off with Team Liquid facing off against Royal Never Give Up. Liquid easily beat Royal in the first game, but Royal fought their hearts out in the second game. Unfortunately for Royal, Liquid managed to claw their way to victory and move on in the tournament.
The second match of the day saw Team Secret against Infamous, the latter being clear underdogs. Secret looked a bit wobbly, especially in the first game, but still managed to take down the South American side 2-0. It was a close match for Infamous and they performed way above what anyone would have expected.
The third and final match of The International 2019 Day 4 was between EG and Liquid, two big western teams fighting for their tournament life. In game one was very slow with only 29 kills between the two teams after 40 minutes. Then, Liquid with some amazing Chronos from Miracle-, Liquid suddenly took a great teamfight, killed all the EG players and forced out the GG.
Game two of EG versus Liquid. Liquid claimed first blood and with an Alchemist carry and a whole lot of fighting, they continued to extend their gold lead. With W33 on the Alchemist just getting out of control, Liquid took such a mammoth gold lead (11k at 20 minutes) that EG couldn’t withstand the pressure Liquid continued to put on them as Liquid destroyed their enemy’s base. EG was forced to GG out at the 30-minute mark.
