The International 2019 Direct Invites Revealed

With the dust settling over the Epicenter Major and the “Ceeeeeeeeeeb!” spams slowly fading away in my ears, Valve has revealed The International 2019 Direct Invites, the teams that earned enough points throughout the current DPC season playing in Majors and Minors to earn one of the 12 spots.

The final DPC standings are set in stone which means who know the top 12 teams that have received direct invites to The International 2019. Valve announced the teams in a blog post, explaining that:

Congratulations to the twelve teams that have shown the consistent performance needed to earn direct invitations to The International 2019 in Shanghai.[/perfectpullquote]

The 12 teams who have received a direct invite to the biggest esports tournament of the year, sorted by standing on the DPC log, are:

  • Team Secret
  • Virtus.pro
  • Vici Gaming
  • Evil Geniuses
  • Team Liquid
  • PSG.LGD
  • Fnatic
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • TNC Predator
  • OG
  • Alliance
  • Keen Gaming

Further, Valve has released a little Compendium update for Battle Pass owners, explaining that:

Now, we turn our attention towards the qualifiers for the last six slots in The International 2019. Things kick off with the open qualifiers on 3 July and continue on with regional qualifiers throughout the month.
