The International 2019 qualifiers

The International 2019 Qualifiers Complete and Main Event Predictions Open Up

Over the weekend, The International 2019 Qualifiers finally finished up for all six regions and we’ve seen some great games from the teams fighting for a spot at the biggest esports tournament of the year. In the regional qualifiers for The International 2019, there was only one spot per region available, so teams had to make their way through the competition and win a best-of-five grand final in order to punch their ticket to Shanghai.

To summarize, Na’vi is back, Mineski scrapes through and Matumbaman makes it to The International with his new team, Chaos E.C. Check out the list of teams that made it through the gruelling qualifiers below.

  • North America – Forward Gaming
  • South America – Infamous
  • SEA – Mineski
  • CIS – Na’vi
  • China – Royal Never Give Up
  • Europe – Chaos Esports Club

If you followed my predictions, you woud have three right namely: Mineski, Na’vi and Forward Gaming. Interestingly, I also noted that Royal Never Give Up would be an excellent pick in China and in the South American and European qualifiers, my picks did make it to the final. Not bad, but not fantastic either.

At the time of writing, 500 Battle Points for each correct prediction has not been awarded just yet even with the gameplay update hitting this morning. Hopefully, these Battle Points will come in soon, possibly with Friday’s update featuring the Kid Invoker Persona.

Further, the Main Event Predictions have opened up and there are dozens to make. I will have these predictions for you later this week in case you want to follow them as part of our The International 2019 coverage plan.
