With the group stage of The International 2019 now in full swing with matches taking place for Day 2, there’s a lot going on for Dota 2 esports fans. One of the most fun things to watch is The International All-Stars match that takes place during the Main Event each year and now, Valve has shared the first details. It’s going to be a really fun one, to say the least, but things are working a bit differently this year.

The International All-Stars match this year will be an all-random Deathmatch and interestingly, the roster for the match will be based on Fantasy Challenge points. The top-performing players from the Fantasy Challenge so far will feature in the match and at the time of writing, the top players all come from TNC, LGD and Secret. Valve shared details on The International 2019 All-Stars match in a tweet this morning.
This year’s International All-Star rosters will be based on Fantasy Points rankings. The top players will compete in an All Random Death Match, and fans are invited to choose a favorite player before the All-Star Match to earn extra Battle Points. #TI9

At the time of writing, it is unclear how many Battle Points you will be able to earn, but it is definitely a match to look forward too. Further, Dota 2 Battle Pass owners can now vote for their favourite Short Film contest finalist and the results will also be revealed sometime during the Main Event, so get to it!
