The end of an era is upon us as Apple has removed the Apple stickers from the upcoming iPhone 16 box. The Company recently dropped the stickers from the latest iPad Pro box and the new iPhone models are following the same process.
According to 9to5mac, the latest iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro boxes include the phone, a few pieces of paper detailing the warranty and the braided USB-C cable. The Apple stickers are no more.
Apple cut down on the Apple stickers with the iPhone 11. The company went from including two stickers in the box to a single sticker. This was done to help reduce waste and make the iPhone a 100% plastic-free product. The new sticker-less move was bound to happen.
9to5mac says Apple will distribute stickers to iPhone 16 buyers at launch this week. If you want a sticker, just ask a salesperson for one. However, I don’t know if this includes the South African launch so try your luck.
The iPhone 16 is expected to launch this Friday, 20 September in South Africa. The new phone boasts a number of improvements including a larger display, A18 Apple Intelligence-capable chips, a new Camera Control button on the side of the phone and more.
You can pre-order your iPhone 16 today from iStore and take advantage of the trade-in program while you’re at it. iStore announced the pricing for the iPhone 16 lineup last week.
