Leading accessory brand JSAUX has announced a new must-have Switch 2 purchase. The latest is called the JSAUX Switch 2 ModCase. It is an all-in-one package that includes a laser-etched anti-slip grip for the exterior of the console that fully houses the unit in a protective shell.
The shell doubles up as a full cover for the console too, as you can attach the top cover to the bottom half, which then fully encloses the device to protect the screen. Once closed, the shell includes open slots at the bottom and the top by the USB-C ports, so you can charge up the console while it is in the case.
But the shell offers more than just protection for your Nintendo Switch 2 console. It also comes with comfort grips when attached to the console thanks to the palm grips on the sides. The top cover, which you attach to the face, includes eight game card slots, so you can store your physical games inside the case when travelling.
JSAUX has also included a modular attachment on the back of the ModCase, which opens up unlimited customization options for the accessory. Users will be able to 3D print their own mods to expand the case’s usability. JSAUX will ship the case with a few mods.
There’s a MagSafe holder so you can stick your iPhone to the case and have it positioned above the screen while playing. This is great for, say, Zelda Notes, where you can use the Nintendo App as a map while playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
There’s also a metal kickstand that attaches to this mod slot for easy table-top use. It also comes with a cooling fan that feeds air into the back of the case to keep the console cool. Lastly, you’ll also get a power bank strap. This watch strap-looking attachment will let you secure your power bank to the back of the case and, with a short wire, power your Switch 2 console without worrying about where to put the battery.
JSAUX says users will be able to print their own ModCase add-ons and share them on Printables.com. This is a great way to expand the accessory beyond its initial batch. The JSAUX Switch 2 ModCase will be available in June and retail for $29.99. You can check out the accessory here.
