The Last of Us Part II actress Laura Bailey, who voiced Abby Anderson in the game, has said that she wants to return as the character. Abby is one of the more controversial figures from Naughty Dog’s divisive sequel, but Bailey stated she understands this well. Despite the character’s reception online, she would still like to reprise her role in a potential follow-up.
In a recent interview with Comic Book Movie, Bailey was asked if she would like to reprise her role as Abby in a potential continuation of The Last of Us Part II. Bailey said she’d love to return as the character if the opportunity presented itself.

Bailey’s full response reads:
“I would definitely go back to her. I know there was a lot of drama and response to her character, but it was one of the most influential roles I’ve had in my life. I would 100 percent go back to play more Abby if the opportunity came up. The series looks amazing and I cannot wait to see more of it.”
Naughty Dog and PlayStation have yet to announce a third mainline game in The Last of Us franchise. The company recently remade The Last of Us Part I for PS5 (with a PC release date to follow). It’s also producing a live-action television series adaptation with HBO, starring Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie.
It’s rumoured that Naughty Dog is currently working on The Last of Us Part III with director Neil Druckmann, though nothing official has come of it. It will be a few more years until we see a continuation of this story, which might include Abby again alongside Ellie.
The Last of Us Part I is currently available for PS5. A PC version is also in development, though that doesn’t have a release date yet.
