The Last of Us Part II has gone gold ahead of its 19 June 2020 release date. Naughty Dog Game director Niel Druckmann shared the news over a YouTube video where he expressed his love and passion for the project. In addition, the director thanked his team for the hard work on the game amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
For those of you who don’t know what “gone gold” means. The game is now complete and the manufacturing of the discs and uploading of the digital copy on the PlayStation Store has begun.
The elephant in the room is the latest The Last of Us Part II leaks that leaked before the game went gold. Niel touched on the controversial topic saying “nothing compares” to playing the game. No matter what you have seen or heard.
Niel ended saying “it’s a video game. You’ve gotta play it.”
Further details like pre-load times were not revealed by Naughty Dog. However, Sony will share when you can begin downloading the game soon. We already know the game requires over 100GB of storage. Get ready to delete some old content off your console.
