For those of you who don’t know what “gone gold” means. The game is now complete and the manufacturing of the discs and uploading of the digital copy on the PlayStation Store has begun.

The elephant in the room is the latest The Last of Us Part II leaks that leaked before the game went gold. Niel touched on the controversial topic saying “nothing compares” to playing the game. No matter what you have seen or heard.

“I know I’ve said this before, but you won’t know to what degree until you get your hands on it and see the care that has gone into every detail: from the level design to the mechanics, graphically how the game looks, environments, art direction, characters, story, the audio design, the soundtrack – oh my God, the soundtrack is so amazing – that even for us who have played this game we can’t even count how many times, we’re still emotionally moved. I just finished a playthrough and I was crying by the end of it.”

Niel ended saying “it’s a video game. You’ve gotta play it.”

Further details like pre-load times were not revealed by Naughty Dog. However, Sony will share when you can begin downloading the game soon. We already know the game requires over 100GB of storage. Get ready to delete some old content off your console.
