The Last of Us Part II Media Event Confirmed For Later This Month

Although we haven’t heard much about Naughty Dog’s highly anticipated PS4 exclusive from Naughty Dog, The Last of Us Part II, there have been quite a few rumours floating around thanks to a leaked internal memo from Sony and even one pointing towards a release date of February 2020, we haven’t seen any official word for the upcoming title, until now, as a media event has been dated.

There will be media event for The Last of Us Part II taking place in Los Angeles, California on 24 September 2019 (yes, only two weeks from now) and this event has officially been confirmed. Geoff Keighley, who you should know from The Game Awards and more as a representer and producer, tweeted out the following, also tagging in developer Naughty Dog and their Vice President, Neil Druckmann.

Fans can now mark the calendars in permanent marker for either 24 or 25 September depending on what time The Last of Us Part II media event starts in the US. At the time of writing, no details regarding the media event have been revealed by Sony, but many seem to suspect that this will be a release date reveal, accompanied by some gameplay, at the very least.

Since it is a media event, we don’t know exactly where and if a stream to watch the event live will be available, but news should start flooding in soon after or during the event and we will let you know of any more details as soon as we get them.
