Mark your calendars. The Last of Us Part II review embargo is dropping on 12 June 2020 at 09:01 South African time / 12:01 PT. The news comes from a tweet from Greg Miller who tweeted his copy of the game claiming he will be reviewing it. In addition, Greg mentions the time and date in which reviews will be going live for the upcoming Naughty Dog PS4 exclusive.

Review copies being sent out this early is nothing new. Naughty Dog announced a few weeks ago that the game was gold which means it is finished. It takes a few weeks from going gold before media get their hands on the build for review purposes.

Sony plans on hosting The Last of Us Part II State of Play tomorrow so the review embargo news comes as no surprise. The company will begin ramping up its marketing plan to get the game in everyone’s faces in the coming weeks before launch. The game is set to release on 19 June 2020 only on PS4.
