Yesterday marked the official “The Last of Us Day”. For those who don’t know, The Last of Us Day, formerly known as Outbreak Day, marked the day in which the events of the so-called “end of the world” kicked off in the game’s story. It is the day when the outbreak reached its peak and the world fell to ruins. Naughty Dog has since celebrated The Last of Us Day with cool news, details and reveals. This year, the day saw the release of the first teaser trailer for The Last of Us show because what better way to celebrate?
The Last of Us show teaser trailer is a minute-and-a-half video that includes some iconic moments from the original 2013 game (which recently got a remake). A lot of the locations shown in the trailer are also quite familiar and the sounds we hear will remind you of those intense Clicker moments from the video game.

The teaser sets things up for things to come and gives us an idea that the show is going to pay tribute to the original game while also diving deeper into some character arcs and locations. If anything, the trailer does a great job of setting up the terrifying feeling we are going to get while watching the show. This is very similar to the feeling we had while playing the game.
For those who aren’t familiar with The Last of Us, it follows Joel (played by Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (played by Bella Ramsay) as they travel across a desolated United States. The world has been brought to its knees by a fungal infection which turns victims into aggressive deadly flesh-eating creatures. Ellie is the only known person to be immune to the disease which is born from fungus and transmitted through bites.
We still don’t have a release date for The Last of Us show but it is set to arrive sometime in 2023.
