Nintendo has kicked off its marketing campaign for likely its biggest game of the year – The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. The game is expected to launch on 26 September and the first advert was shared last night to showcase the “Save Hyrule Your Way” playstyle.
The ad shows two twins playing The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and at each challenge, they take a different approach to overcome the obstacle. This ties into the game’s Echoes feature where players will be able to create copies of objects, items and even enemies using Zelda’s Tri Rod.
Using this feature, players can bind objects together, use enemies to fight other enemies and even use specific creatures to get around. Players can approach these mechanics any way they see fit. An example here is a spider being used to scale a hill while the other player clones water to swim upwards and jump to the top of the hill instead.
The ad boasts that in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the best way to play, is your way. Given the freedom in Tears of the Kingdom, I am sure players can’t wait to get their hands on the tools here too.
Nintendo recently showcased the Still World in another trailer. This is a location in the game where the world has been consumed by a rift. The area will play host to its own dungeons and challenges.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is set to launch on 26 September. The game is also launching alongside a special Hyrule Edition Nintendo Switch Lite which is now available for pre-order in South Africa starting at R5199.
