The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Listed For Nintendo Switch

Nintendo might be releasing The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword again on the Nintendo Switch later this year. According to an Amazon UK listing, the Wii game is being remastered for the Nintendo Switch. The leaked listing does not detail anything specific in terms of the gameplay and visual tweaks. However, users can expect the game to receive a robust list of changes if true.

Nintendo has yet to share any new game announcements in the past few months. The company hosted a Direct stream last month where they revealed Pikmin 3 Deluxe. However, the usual E3 reveals have yet to see the light of day. Fans are wondering what the company has planned for the remainder of 2020 including the holiday season.

Rumours suggest Nintendo may announce a new Legend of Zelda game which is separate from this possible remaster. The announcements will arrive through a Direct stream set for sometime this month. However, that has yet to be confirmed.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword released back in 2011 for the Nintendo Wii. The game was an instant success making use of the Wii’s Motion Plus attachment. The ambitious Zelda game was then re-released on the Wii U. If anything, Skyward Sword is one of the only Zelda games which you cannot play on any modern hardware. If the company does plan on releasing The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for Nintendo Switch, many will rush out and buy it.
