You’ll be able to stream, Disney’s The Little Mermaid on Disney Plus in September. The streaming service will get the live-action remake on 6 September following its global cinematic launch earlier this year in May.
The Little Mermaid was one of Disney’s more controversial live-action remakes but the film still managed to gross $499 million globally. The majority of that came from the United States which contributed $253 million.

While fans were on the fence about the animal designs in the film as well as Halle Bailey’s role as Arielle (for all the wrong reasons), it still managed to draw audiences into the cinema. If you skipped the outing, Disney Plus will be the next best place to watch the film (depending on whether or not your region has decent codec support).
The film joins the likes of Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3 which was just recently added to Disney Plus on 2 August.
