The first screenshots of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum have emerged. The upcoming stealth adventure game has been in development at Daedelic Entertainment for some time now and this is the first official look at the game’s art style. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is currently in development for PS5, Xbox Series X and PC with a 2021 release schedule.
According to previous reports, the game was not going to take the same visual approach to Gollum as all past The Lord of The Rings content. However, the screenshots show a familiar face as the character does not look different.
Screenshots reveal a handful of characters as well as the game’s locations. With that being said, the title is still in early development so keep that in mind. The game is based on the Tolkien books and not the movies so expect some new surprises. The story takes place between the events of The Hobbit and Fellowship of the ring.
It follows the story of a Gollum that is far more corrupt than we have seen him before. It takes place while the character is in possession of the ring. However, it is going to be a long wait before we see more of this game. Take a look at the screenshots down below;
