The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Official Teaser Trailer is Here

It’s been a while since we saw anything from the Deadelic Entertainment adaption of Gollum. We know the game is currently in development for PS5 and Xbox Series X and earlier this year we got a glimpse of the gameplay through a handful of screenshots. However, the first official teaser trailer for the game has arrived. It may not be the longest trailer ever produced but it shows us some first footage of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.

The most important thing to keep in mind about this trailer is that it is CG. In the trailer, we can see Gollum reveal itself from a cave before a quick glimpse at Mount Doom. Before we see the little cave creature, we get a look at the cave he is living in. This includes the food he eats and even some wall drawings which surely have some significance to the story.

According to an interview with IGN, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum closest similarity is Prine of Persia. According to lead game designer Martin Wilkes, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is mostly a “non-combat” game but Gollum is able to stealthily take out enemies. However, this won’t be easy and always comes with big risks.

It is mostly a non-combat game, but Gollum will be able to stealthily take out enemies. However, this will not be easy and always come with big risks. We want players to carefully weigh these encounters. After all, Gollum’s strengths lie in cunning not combat.”[/perfectpullquote]

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is set to launch sometime in 2021 for PS5, Xbox Series X and PC. Take a look at the short and sweet teaser trailer down below.
