Mortal Kombat Movie

The Mortal Kombat Trailer is Filled With Gore, Fatalities and Well-Known Faces

We may actually have a good Mortal Kombat movie coming our way. The first trailer for the upcoming movie based on the classic video game series went live last night and it is rather fantastic. This is ahead of the film’s debut on HBO Max on 16 April 2021.

The Sinking City Announced For PS5 and Launches Tomorrow

In the trailer, we get a glimpse at some well-known fighters including Scorpion, Sub Zero, Sonya Blade, Shang Tsung, Goro and more. The character roster almost seems like a love letter to fans of the series. Some of them even perform their iconic fatalities including Kano’s Heart-snatch.

The film looks great in the trailer and we hope that this gore-filled glimpse at what lies ahead means users are in for a spectacular ride when it releases in April.

The Mortal Kombat movie trailer also gives us some hints to the story. It seems to follow Cole Young who has a birthmark shaped like the Mortal Kombat dragon logo. We don’t know who he is at this stage but the film no doubt centres around his journey.

Many believe that is he actually Johnny Cage due to the film’s heavy inspiration from the original film. Johnny Cage also seems to be absent from the trailers and marketing at this point.

We will have to see how it all plays out in April. Check out the trailer down below:
