FX has released a new teaser video for the anticipated Alien: Earth show, and this time, it isn’t just a few seconds long. The latest teaser shows viewers what seems to be the miracle of alien birth. It depicts the start of the process from an embryo to the hatching of an alien species.
I want to say this is a showcase of the Xenomorph birth, but it clearly isn’t. While there are some shots that look like a Facehugger, the final product of this gestation is clearly something else— a new species, which is pretty exciting.
Here’s the “Gestation” teaser
The lifeform in the gestation is then seen again in the second teaser video called “Crate”. There’s also confirmation that the expedition which the ship belonged to collected five different life forms from the “darkest corners of the universe”. Each species unique – “monsters” as it claims.
Here’s the “Crate” teaser:
The video shows five crates, but at the same time, the Xenomorph is outside a crate. So there are seemingly six aliens in the show. We don’t know where these new species come from and what threats they pose, but we do know it is all taking place on Earth this time around. The show’s official synopsis says:
When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in FX’s highly anticipated TV series Alien: Earth from creator Noah Hawley.
FX has yet to announce a release date for the Alien: Earth show. We know it is expected in “Summer,” which could be anytime between June and August.
