The New Borderlands 3 Trailer Will Leave The Turtles’ Music Stuck in Your Head

Yesterday Gearbox Software officially released a brand-new trailer for the upcoming Borderlands 3 after teasing the “Celebration of Togetherness” reveal. Many, including us, thought the reveal would be something related to Borderlands 3 crossplay but that was quickly shot down by Randy Pitchford.

The new trailer is as over-the-top as you would expect it to be and shows no gameplay but instead a massive musical showcase of fireworks, guns and explosions. The trailer is backed by the Turtles – Happy Together which is a fitting tune given the trailer’s emphasis on togetherness.

Right now, Gearbox does not have much “new” to show off in terms of Borderlands 3. The game is almost completed its development cycle in preparation for its 13 September 2019 release date so the trailers and content we will see will just be padded hype footage.

Borderlands 3 is looking to be one action-packed mayhem ride as you loot, shoot and destroy everything in your path. The series has been known for its fantastic co-op action and the latest game will no doubt evolve on that. Four-player split-screen and online co-op mean you can jump in and out of a game with your friends at any time making it that perfect looter shooter.

Borderlands 3’s new co-op improvements like the joined abilities, pinging system and the new social hub will expand the experience into new frontiers. You will be able to share weapons with your friends even if you are not playing with them and if a friend sells a gun, you can buy it in your game from a specific vendor.

I played the game at E3 2019 and discovered a load more game details which you can read about here. If you want to know more, check out our guide on 25 gameplay details you might have missed.
