During the Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire stream this evening, CD Projekt RED showcased some brand new gameplay. In addition, a new trailer shows off some fancy tech running the game, characters, new locations in Night City and much more. Along with the trailer, CD Projekt Red touched on some new mechanics in the upcoming game including an in-depth detective. In addition, we got a glimpse at the Badlands, the area surrounding Night City where players can drive around and discover new missions, characters and locations.

As for the detective mechanic, it is called the Analysis Mode. Players can fast forward and rewind time to watch a crime take place. Players can freely move around the area to spot secrets and other important actions. It sort of looks like Batman VR but in Cyberpunk.
A big focus for Cyberpunk 2077 is on its characters. CD Projekt Red worked hard to bring every character to life in a unique way. This means each of them features an in-depth background including how they were raised and moulded in the character you meet. Players can see this in dialogue and even the environments these characters live in. CD Projekt Red states that the studio did not even use some of the backgrounds of these characters. However, it helped them craft the unique missions and dialogue players will experience in the game.
Watch the stream here. It starts at 1 hour for some reason.
