There’s an official Call of Duty Board Game headed our way. According to the reveal trailer, the game is “coming soon” with the Kickstarter set to launch in Summer of 2023 (which is June-July for those who don’t use seasons to date stuff).
According to the early details, the Call of Duty Board Game is a collaboration between IP owner Activision and board game publisher Arcane Wonders. The game takes place in the era of 2019’s Modern Warfare.

In addition to the game’s Modern Warfare setting, the Call of Duty Board Game will also feature weapons and maps that will be familiar to fans of the series. Each set is playable by two players and users can combine another set to turn the game into a 4-player game.
Arcane Wonders says that the Call of Duty Board Game will cost $50 when it launches and the publisher plans on revealing more details on the project in the weeks ahead. The official description reads:
“Players simultaneously plan out moves secretly and then resolve those at the same time out on the map. Line of sight is easily determined by colored lines on the map, and when you do have eyes on your opponent, combat happens. It’s all about outsmarting and outmaneuvering your opponent to get in the best possible position to win in a fight.”
While 2023 was originally planned as a “quiet” year for the Call of Duty series, Activision confirmed that it would release a “full premium game” later this year. Previously, it was reported that the publisher was working on a large-scale expansion for Modern Warfare 2. However, those plans have since changed.
