Developer Obsidian Entertainment has released a brand new gameplay trailer for The Outer Worlds 2, the upcoming sequel to 2019’s sci-fi RPG and it’s coming in 2025. The studio is arguably one of the hardest-working in the industry as it also plans to release another big RPG, Avowed, next year as well.
The trailer for The Outer Worlds 2 showcases Obsidian’s sharp, witty writing along with the first teases of the game’s story and gameplay, which seems to be following a similar formula to its predecessor (that works, we can’t argue with results). The developer made fun of the fact that it failed to include plenty of content in the first game that’s now happily making its way to the sequel, including an arsenal of new melee weapons and guns as well as dazzling new locations.
Despite Microsoft’s acquisition of Obsidian Entertainment, it seems like The Outer Worlds 2 will not only launch on Xbox Series X/S and PC but PS5 as well. Of course, the benefit of playing it on Xbox means that players will be able to enjoy it day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Want more action, more weapons, and more… graphics?! The Outer Worlds 2 is here for you.
Mandatory fun is coming in 2025 to Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox app for Windows, Steam, PS5, and day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.https://t.co/LiO07FpPmm
