The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition Rated For PS5, Xbox Series X

It seems that The Outer Worlds might be getting a native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version. According to the Taiwan Digital Games Rating Committee, a new version of the game called “The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition” has been rated for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

This is not the first time we have heard of this special version of The Outer Worlds. In fact, back in August, the rating board listed the game but it wasn’t given any specific platforms. It seems that an enhanced version of the game might be headed our way. The listing includes PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC as the primary platforms meaning this version most definitely includes visual enhancements.

If this The Outer World: Spacer’s Choice Edition is real, which it seems likely, the game probably includes all the previous updates and even the two expansion packs. The original game launched back in 2019 for PS4, Xbox One and PC and released two expansions later on. One was called Murder on Eridanos” and the other “Peril on Gorgon”.

If you own an Xbox Series X/S or PS5 at the moment, the only way to play the game is through backwards compatibility. It would be nice to get a special native version that runs at 60FPS and features enhanced visuals. We just don’t know when this will arrive.
