Players who feel like returning to The Outer Worlds on either PS5 or Xbox Series X can now look forward to a performance boost on both consoles. Obsidian Entertainment released update 1.07 that introduces 60 FPS support for both PS5 and Xbox Series X. As of writing, there’s no confirmation on the Xbox Series S performance but we will update this post when we learn more.
The Outer Worlds update 1.07 is a welcome addition to the game. In case you missed it, the game is set to receive its last DLC this week “Murder On Eridanos”. The murder mystery will go live tomorrow, 17 March 2021 f0r supporting platforms and see players try and solve a murder that has taken place in a gran hotel

The strange thing about this performance boost for The Outer Worlds is the lack of confirmation. The patch notes don’t specifically say the game has been boosted. Instead, they simply mention the DLC content. However, according to multiple users on Twitter, the PS5 and Xbox Series X version of the game has indeed been patched with performance enhancements.

The Outer Worlds update 1.07 patch notes read:
- Necessary files to The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos have been added.
- Save files from beyond the “point of no return” will now allow players to access the “Peril on Gorgon” and “Murder on Eridanos” DLCs.
- Fixed an issue where Nyoka’s face animations could stop updating during conversations.
- Updated the description of the “Robophobia” Flaw to be more accurate.
