The SCUF Reflex PS5 Controller Packs Adaptive Triggers and Costs $229

SCUF, the hardware brand known for its excellent pro controllers has announced a first-of-its-kind PS5 controller that will give players the option to experience the DualSense’s best features outside of the Sony product. The SCUF Reflex is the first third-party controller for the PS5 and while the price tag of $259 might seem a bit steep, the company promises remappable buttons, adaptive trigger support, removable faceplates and wireless connectivity.

The SCUF Reflex starts at $199. There’s also the SCUF Reflex Pro for $229 and the SCUF Reflex FPS for $249. All three controllers boast a range of differences and features. For example, the SCUF Reflex FPS doesn’t come with adaptive trigger support as this feature is usually disabled for competitive FPS games anyway.

Instead of adaptive triggers on the SCUF Reflex FPS, users will get high-performance grips, instant bumpers and hairline triggers that have almost no travel. This allows players to quickly shoot, dodge, jump and more without any travelling on the buttons at all.

SCUF says that the Reflex range will only release in black at first but the company plans on rolling out other shades in the coming months. A full breakdown of features can be seen below.

  • Four rear, remappable paddles that can be configured to 12 functions
