Ster-Kinekor has launched their very own “Ster Kinekor Subscription Club” which charges a monthly and gives subscribers movie tickets and cheaper snack (hallelujah!).
The Ster Kinekor Subscription Service comes in two offerings starting with the Fan Club at R249 per month. This allows you to watch four movies a month and grants you a 20% discount on the medium popcorn and soda combos.
MORvies Club is the Ster Kinekor Subscription Club’s second and top-tier offering. For R349 per month, you can watch up to five movies per day and also get 20% discount on medium popcorn and sodas. So yeah, it is not unlimited but five movies a day is extreme.

Right now the service is live and currently in a test phase. This means that the subscription service could be canned if it does not work out. You can sign up by visiting the site.
The MORVies Subscription Service (R349) is only available at Eastgate Shopping Centre (GAU), Somerset Mall (W.C) and Garden Route (W.C) and the Ster Kinekor Fan Club Subscription Service (R249) is available at Eastgate Shopping Centre (GAU), Watercrest Mall (KZN) and L’langa Mall (MPL) for the time being. More cinemas will most likely to join in the coming months.
The service excludes IMAX, D-Box, Cine Prestige and other special events such as pre-release screenings. The tickets, as well as the 20% discount on popcorn and soda combos, have to be purchased online via your membership. For more T&C’s check out the Ster-Kinekor site
