Developer Deck13 and Focus Home Interactive have yet another Soulsborne-like title releasing later this month. The Surge 2 is heading your way on 24 September for PC, PS4 and Xbox One and it promises to be bigger and better than the original in every way. If you have a top-of-the-range console, then you are in for a visual treat as The Surge 2 PS4 Pro and Xbox One X enhancements have been revealed.
For a brutally challenging ARPG like The Surge 2, you will probably prefer framerate over resolution and developer Deck13 and Focus Home Interactive are giving players the option to choose for themselves. The Surge 2 PS4 Pro and Xbox One X enhancements include a 4K, 30FPS option as well as a 1080p, 60FPS option.
In a press release, the developer explains that:

Deck13 and Focus Home Interactive are pleased to announce that Action-RPG The Surge 2 will support 4K gameplay on the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X. Witness the beautifully grotesque fusion of man and machine in detailed splendour!
The City of Jericho crumbles from within, as its various districts are populated by addicts, gangs, and hostile nanomonstrosities. With weapon in hand and drone in tow, explore the dystopian megacity either in upscaled 4K at 30FPS, or fluid 60FPS at 1080p on both PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X.[/perfectpullquote]
With a game as intense as The Surge 2, what matters most is the framerate and how stable it is. We will have to wait until the game’s launch to see how well it runs on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
We will be bringing you our full written and video review on 24 September 2019 played on the PS4 Pro, so you will be able to see the game in action.
