The Walking Dead Star Ross Marquand is Coming to Comic Con Cape Town

Part of the excitement of Comic Con is seeing local and international guests take the stages and this year, Comic Con Cape Town has announced its first international guest in Ross Marquand. The actor is best known for starring on the hit television series The Walking Dead but has made numerous appearances in other media including Avengers and Invincible.

Ross Marquand is an American actor who first gained recognition for playing Aaron on The Walking Dead – a role in which he appeared for several seasons and 115 episodes. He also did voice work for various characters on Invincible. However, he notably appeared as Red Skull in the big-budget Marvel Studios movies Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. The Matrix actor Hugo Weaving originally portrayed Red Skull in Captain America: The First Avenger before Marquand took over the role.

Ross Marquand is confirmed to appear at Comic Con Cape Town this year for all four days of the event.

In related news, Comic Con Cape Town is preparing to host an exciting world-class cosplay competition that will feature professional cosplayers Elizabeth Rage and Leon Chiro as judges along with Ludus Cosplay, the champion of Comic Con Africa’s cosplay competition last year. Several local and international artists will also be at the convention this year including several who have worked with industry giants Marvel and DC. Mark Brooks, Ian Churchill, Kart Mostert and Bill Masuku will all make an appearance at Comic Con Cape Town including Jonathan Shapiro aka Zapiro and street artist Keith Vlahakis. Comic Con Cape Town will take place from 27 to 30 April 2023 at CTICC 2. Doors open from 09:00 to 18:00 daily. Make sure you secure your tickets on Howler.
