This should be excellent news for fans of The Witcher games and books, as the world has so much interesting lore to uncover that it would be impossible to cover even a tenth of it all in one season.
Shortly after the release of the full trailer, The Witcher Netflix showrunner, Lauren Schmidt Hissrichis, said in an interview that she is planning ahead, not only for a second season but for seven seasons. Another bit of interesting information coming out of that interview is that we shouldn’t expect all the characters we meet in Season 1 to make it out alive according to Lauren Schmidt Hissrichis.
