These Three Robots Could be in Your House Soon – CES 2025 Debuts New Models

CES 2025 is currently underway, bringing a number of innovative new technology and inventions to the world – or at least what consumers can hope to expect in the coming year. This year, AI is the talk of the town and some companies are already taking things one step further by attempting to bring robots into your household to make life easier – or stranger, in one case. Here are three robots that were revealed at CES so far that could be in your house very soon: the Mirumi, Mi-Mo and SwitchBot K20 Plus Pro.

Mirumi is Watching You

The first robot to make an appearance at CES 2025 is Mirumi, a furry little companion robot that hangs to your bag strap and watches nearby people. It’s almost meant to simulate a shy infant, so if you approach it, the robot will duck away from you. It can’t do anything else other than move its head and quietly watch you. If this takes off, you can probably expect it to be used as a gimmick in a horror movie.

Mirumi being developed by Yukai Engineering, which plans to make the robot available through a crowdfunding campaign launching in mid-2025.

Developed by Jizai, Mi-Mo also stalked people at CES this year. The company calls it the “world’s first general purpose AI-robot”, capable of thinking and acting on its own. With that in mind, it will likely be able to follow you around the house, perform its own activities and actions, and bother you like an average pet. There’s no word on when Mi-Mo will become available to the public since it seems to still be in a long testing phase.

Switch it Up With a SwitchBot

SwitchBot has announced the SwitchBot Multitasking Household Robot K20 Plus Pro, a more robust version of the company’s mini robot vaccuum. If you’ve seen The Jetsons, the device has been compared to Rosey the Robot. It’s able to clean, purify, monitor, cool your home and carry your phone or tablet on a selfie stick. It can even bring you snacks. It also has a built-in security camera to pick up intruders.

Using the SwithBot app, you can also control the robot through Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri Shortcuts for direct orders. Switchbot plans to launch the K20 Plus Pro in May or June 2025 in a variety of bundles.
