Spider-Man Tobey Maguire Return

Tobey Maguire Would Love to Return as Spider-Man

Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire says he would love to return as Spider-Man if he was asked to play the role again. Maguire appeared in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy during the 2000s and would later reprise his role as the character in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home alongside fellow spidey actors Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland. He’s now keen on playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man again.

Speaking to Marvel in a recent interview, Maguire expressed interest in playing Spider-Man again should anyone ask for his return. “If these guys called me and said… ‘Would you show up to do this movie or read a scene or do a Spider-Man thing?’, it would be a yes!” he said. Maguire, as well as Garfield and Holland, seemed to walk away with fond memories of filming No Way Home.

Garfield previously stated that his return isn’t out of the question either and fans are speculating that he might clash with Eddie Brock/Venom in the upcoming Venom 3 from Sony Pictures. Holland, on the other hand, told media that he’s taking a break from acting to focus on his personal life. It’s unclear when Holland will appear in the MCU again.

Behind Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, No Way Home ended up being one of Marvel Studios’ most successful releases and one of the biggest movies of all time, earning $1.9 billion at the worldwide box office. This was in large part due to all three Spider-Man actors uniting in the movie as well as a star-studded cast of villains from previous movies including Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, Alfred Molina as Doc Ock and Jamie Foxx as Electro.

If Marvel Studios or Sony does approach Maguire to appear as Spider-Man again, hopefully he’ll have his own movie to shine. While we’re at it, we’d love to see Raimi back in the director’s chair for a Spider-Man movie should a fourth one happen.
