Tom Holland Talks About Spider-Man MCU Split

Earlier this month, Sony and Marvel failed to come to an agreement for Spider-Man films profit share. If you didn’t know, Sony owns the rights to Spider-Man and Sony and Marvel couldn’t come to an agreement with regards to the profit share, which means your favourite neighbourhood spider will be pulled out of the MCU. This caused a lot of uproar from fans and some Hollywood actors even threatened to boycott Sony and PlayStation. Now, Tom Holland, who portrays Peter Parker in the last five MCU films that featured the web-slinger, has broken his silence.

First and most importantly, you should know that Tom Holland will remain Spider-Man for the foreseeable future. This is extremely good news for fans like me who think he is the best Spider-Man to date. Tom Holland briefly spoke about the news of Spider-Man being out of the MCU at the D23 Expo.

Mr Holland said at the Entertainment Weekly and People TV studio that:

I’ve had the time of my life. Who knows what the future holds? But all I know is that I am going to continue playing Spider-Man and having the time of my life and it is going to be so fun however we choose to do it. The future for Spider-Man will be different but it will be equally as awesome and amazing and we will find new ways to make it even cooler somehow.[/perfectpullquote]

It’s great to see Tom Holland on board as Peter Parker going forward and as a massive Marvel comics fan, my spidey senses are tingling for a Spider-Man versus Venom film. Let’s face it, anything will be better than Batman versus Superman from DC and Spider-Man versus Venom does make a lot of sense going forward.
