Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is a fantastic remake. If you missed my review you can check it out here. It seems Activision struck gold with its latest game breaking records at the same time. The publisher reports that the skateboarding remake sold over a million copies in just over a week of launch. “Sold” is the big word here which means this number is not shipments but rather actual sales to gamers.

While Activision did not share specific platform sales and an exact number, they claim over 1 million units were reached. This is quite a milestone for such a niche game such as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2. While you may love it, not everyone may rub up to the idea of skateboarding through a bunch of levels. It is nice to see the game succeed. Hopefully, this means we could see a new entry in the series arrive soon. It took Activision a couple of years to release a sequel to the Crash Bandicoot series so perhaps we can look forward to a sequel in the distant future too.
