Tony Todd, also known for his role as the Candyman, has shared new details on the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The actor is voicing Venom in the video game. During an interview with Deeper Level, Todd commented on some characteristics gamers can expect when it comes to Venom in the game.
When asked to comment on the general script details, Todd compared Venom to the opening sequence in Marvel’s Miles Morales where Miles and Rhino chase each other through the city while bashing through walls and wrecking everything in sight. Todd says having Venom in the game is similar to that scene but all the time.
Todd says, “Venom doesn’t play, man. Venom doesn’t give a damn“. He continued to describe his love for the original games and how incredible the experiences are.

Sadly, the year is almost over and we didn’t get any new updates on the development of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Sony originally announced the game during a special PlayStation Showcase event last year. However, we haven’t seen or heard anything from Insomniac Games since.
Reports claim that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be Sony’s big game release of 2023 so it will likely release in the months ahead. We just don’t have any release window yet. Sony has gone through the entire of 2022 without any major showcase update so we can only hope the company plans on sharing updates on its new game lineup in early 2023.
In the meantime. here’s the original reveal trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
