Gemini Gets Enhanced
Google announced that it’s adding an “enhanced” reasoning mode to its AI assistant Gemini 2.5 Pro. Deep Think mode is specifically meant for complex queries related to math and coding, capable of providing “multiple hypotheses before responding.” At the moment, it will only be available to trusted testers first. Additionally, Google also announced that Gemini is coming to Chrome, only available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers today.
AI Filmmaking App
Google is launching a new AI filmmaking app called Flow. Using Veo, Imagen, and Gemini, the app is capable of creating stunning eight-second AI-generated clips based on text prompts or images. If you want to make longer videos together, the app will also come with scene-builder tools that can put together multiple clips. Flow is currently available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US with more countries coming soon.
Project Aura Smart Glasses
If aura farming is your thing, Xreal and Google are teaming up on Project Aura, new smart glasses that use the Android XR platform for mixed-reality devices. Other Android XR smart glasses are also in the works at Google in partnerships with Samsung, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.

Google is rolling out AI Mode this week, a new tab on Search that will use the company’s Gemini AI chatbot to help you search the web. Google also announced that it will begin testing new AI Mode features this summer such as deep search and ways to generate charts for sports and finance queries. Sadly, AI Mode is only available in the US, though the company plans to add more countries in the coming months.
Chrome Compromised Password Generator
Finally, Google Chrome will soon help you update your passwords to keep your account safe. If Chrome detects that your password has been compromised in any way, the browser will be able to “generate a strong replacement” password and automatically update it on supported sites. Google says it will always ask for consent before changing your passwords, at least. The feature is set to roll out later this year.
