SEGA has announced its follow up to the popular Two Point Hospital, Two Point Campus is releasing in May. Two Point Campus is set to launch on 17 May for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch and PC. In addition, the game is launching day one on Xbox Game Pass for both Xbox and PC.
Two Point Campus will look familiar to anyone who has played the hospital version of the game. However, SEGA says there are some major new mechanics and features in this sequel that players can look forward to. Firstly, the game revolves around building, maintaining and managing a university campus. SEGA says players will also have to master looking after students and this time, the students spend a lot more time in the game.
If you think of a hospital, patients come and go. However, in a campus environment, people stay around. SEGA says there is a lot of room for players to “get to know” the characters in Two Point Campus because of this.
While players are getting to know the people, they are also tasked to attend to their needs. This means building classes, starting specific clubs and making the campus a “rad” place – isn’t that what the cool young people say? SEGA says the kind of experience you give the students results in the kind of population that will attend classes at your campus.
Another new feature in Two Point Campus is the freedom to build anywhere you want. In Two Point Hospital, players were restricted to building rooms within a giant building. However, in Two Point Campus, you can now put rooms down anywhere and slowly grow your structures with new decoration tools and even street layouts.
Everything in Two Point Campus also runs on a schedule. So players will learn what classes and activities take place and when. There’s even a summer break feature implemented into the game where the students leave and players can redo the entire campus if they want. Sounds pretty cool so far.
