Ubisoft Announces The Division Resurgence Mobile Game

Ubisoft has officially announced The Division Resurgence, a mobile game set in the The Division universe. Resurgence is a free-to-play, third-person shooter RPG that will reportedly allow players free-roam over an open-world New York, much like the games set before it.

Ubisoft has also stated that Resurgence will be playable solo or in co-op and as with the mainstream titles before, will offer players a host of PvE activities including story missions and world activities. Ubisoft also stated that Resurgence will “offer a unique perspective on key story events”  that have taken place in the first and second The Division games.

Ubisoft did not mention what else players can expect from the mobile title other than the New York setting which happens to be the same setting as the first Division title. Though, it was mentioned that players could register to participate in the tests that will happen before the game’s launch on iOS and Android.

Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence takes place in a contemporary post-crisis New York City and offers a unique perspective on key story events that have taken place in Tom Clancy’s The Division and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.

Chaos continues to wreak havoc in New York City, and as first-wave agents representing the Strategic Homeland Division, players will be tasked to protect civilians against hostile factions and help them build a better future.”

Ubisoft still plans to release their other free-to-play Division title, The Division Heartland, before the end of March 2023, which is Ubisoft’s current fiscal year. The Division Heartland is also a free-to-play title that will come to PC and consoles but will not be tied into the main storyline of The Division but will instead offer a “standalone experience”.
