Ubisoft held a brand new Ubisoft Forward event recently, delivering new looks into several upcoming games including the sea-faring adventure game Skull and Bones as well as extended gameplay for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. However, it was largely dominated by the future of Assassin’s Creed which includes Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe and much more. The show featured some exciting reveals, though fans are eagerly anticipating Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a game that finally takes the series back to its roots by focusing on stealth, assassinations and a smaller but denser world. In addition to Mirage, fans can also look beyond at Codename Red, set in Japan, and the mysterious Codename Hexe.

Ubisoft is seemingly leaning into the Assassin’s Creed series for its major upcoming releases and considering that it remains the company’s biggest IP, it’s easy to see why. With the announcement of an evolving saga of games under Assassin’s Creed Infinity and the awesome setting of feudal Japan finally making its long-awaited appearance in the franchise, the future of Assassin’s Creed is looking pretty bright.
