Ubisoft Says More Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Post-Launch Content is Coming

Ubisoft recently came under fire by Assassin’s Creed Valhalla owners for the lack of in-game content. Players questioned the developer’s focus on in-game purchases especially when it came to adding gear sets to the store and not touching the content in the main game.

Since launch, Valhalla has received one dull in-game event. A far cry from multiple bosses and content drops seen in Odyssey and Origins. During its quarterly financial call, Ubisoft says they intend to maintain Valhalla with content and claims the post-launch roadmap is actually bigger than Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s.

Ubisoft says that they intend to maintain the same momentum in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as they have with most previous games. The post-launch roadmap for the game is “significantly longer and stronger” with both free and paid content planned.

As of now, Ubisoft has yet to share any exact plan for Valhalla except for the season pass roadmap which was revealed back in November 2020. However, even that content has no release date or window yet. Players need to simply play the waiting game in the time being and hope that playable content, or at least some new gear, arrives in the game soon.

During the call, Ubisoft boasted some incredibly high sales for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. The company also says that Immortals: Fenyx Rising has seen a successful launch. Chief executive officer Yves Guillemot expects to see more from the series in the future.

At the moment, all of Ubisoft’s current in-development games are without release dates. In addition, each of which has been delayed in some way. This includes Far Cry 6, Rainbow Six Quarantine, Rider’s Republic, Skull and Bones, Roller Champions, and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake which was just recently delayed indefinitely.
