Ubisoft has confirmed that the much-delayed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake will launch before the end of March 2026.
During the studio’s recent financial quarter results call, it broke the news. The studio included the game in its “upcoming” financial year-end roster, saying that its FY2025-FY2026 will provide a strong lineup of games for the community.
Part of this roster includes Assassin’s Creed Shadows DLC and updates, Rainbow Six Siege X, Anno 117: Pax Romana, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, Rainbow Six Mobile, The Division Resurgence, and other titles will be announced at a later stage.
Ubisoft has done this in the past with other games, so we’ll likely see Prince of Persia keep to its release window. The studio announced a similar situation with XDefiant and Skull and Bones back in 2024, and both games managed to make their targeted release dates.
Of course, given how Prince of Persia has been delayed multiple times in the past, anything could happen. The game was originally pegged to launch in 2021 but suffered an indefinite delay following fan backlash from the initial reveal trailer visuals.
Ubisoft then announced that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake would be “rebooted” under the guidance of another studio. We haven’t heard anything about the game since.
