The Uncharted movie is still on track but might suffer a slight delay now due to director Dan Trachtenberg stepping down. According to Deadline, Sony has not picked a replacement for the missing director but plans on finding someone before the end of the American summer.

Production on the Uncharted movie is said to begin early next year under the new PlayStation Production media company which Sony set up last year. The Uncharted movie will be the first feature-length film production to have the PlayStation Productions name on it.
The movie was announced way back in 2014 and has suffered quite a lot of setbacks. It was originally set for a 2016 release with the story following an older Nathan Drake. It was then decided to be a prequel to the series starring Spider-Man actor Tom Holland.
Stranger Things director Shawn Levy was on board at one stage but soon left the project too. Sony then brought onboard Dan Trachtenberg who just recently left. The only person that has stayed has been Tom Holland and he is still on board to star in the film.
The movie is planned for a December 2020 release window.
