Uncharted Movie Uncharted unofficial 60FPS Patch Uncharted 4: A Thief's End PC

Uncharted Movie Starring Tom Holland Actually Has a Release Date

The Uncharted movie has been in development hell for years now. Originally announced in 2017, the film suffered a delay after it was rebooted from an “older Drake” story to a “young Drake” approach. This change meant the script and everything else had to be redone.

Sony has finally dated the Uncharted movie to release on 18 December 2020. As of now, Spider-Man star Tom Holland will be taking on the role as Nathan Drake in his late teens. Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) is set to direct the film.

Very little is know about the film’s story as of now but expect it to come close to those “Indiana Jones” movies we all love so much. You have most likely played the games and they should be a good enough media to get your imagination stirring about what we can expect from the Uncharted movie when it releases on 18 December 2020.

Big explosions, a world-seeking adventure on the search for deadly treasure and of course, all the rock climbing and tomb raiding we could ever ask for. As movies about games go, we just hope this one does Sony’s exceptional series justice as it could lead to sequels and become the next Indiana Jones of the world.

Never played the Uncharted series before? They are all on sale at the moment on the PlayStation Store.
